Invite friends
Share your referral link from app.arcns.io. The link, first-touch capture and a self-referral guard are live today; on-chain attribution is not yet, because the deployed registration contracts don't record a referrer. Read the honest state below.
ArcNS is more useful when the people you deal with have names too — you can pay them by name, recognize them across explorers, and stop trading raw addresses. Referrals make it easy to bring them in.
How it works
Grab your referral link
Open app.arcns.io/refer. Your referral link is tied to your connected wallet, or to your primary name if you have one set.
Share it
Copy it or use the share sheet — send it to friends, post it, add it to a bio, anywhere you'd invite someone to Arc.
They open it, first touch wins
The link points at the app's home (?ref=<code>), so it works no matter which page someone lands on first. The code is captured once, stored in that browser, and the ?ref= parameter is stripped from the visible URL right away. If someone opens their own link, the self-referral guard drops the stored code rather than crediting them for referring themselves.
Referral attribution is capture-only today — it does not reach the chain. The link and the first-touch storage above are live. What isn't: the deployed registration contracts (HandleController, TldRegistrarController) don't accept a referrer at all, so a registration made through a referral link carries referrer: bytes32(0) — the same as any other registration. A read API for referral counts exists but has nothing to serve while that stays true. There is no reward attached either. This page changes the moment on-chain attribution ships; until then, invite people because you want them on Arc with you, not for a credit that isn't recorded yet.
What exists today
A stable referral link
Tied to your wallet or your primary name, first-touch, self-referral-guarded — the same link works everywhere in the app, not just on one page.
Grow your corner of Arc
Every friend who registers a name is one more person you can pay, recognize, and look up by name instead of by address.
Built for on-chain credit, not wired to it yet
The read side (a referrals API) already exists. The write side — the registration contracts recording a referrer — does not yet. See the callout above.
Next
Gifting a name is not live yet
The voucher contract for pre-paying a name for a friend is deployed on testnet, but the app's gift flow is behind a feature flag. Read what is and isn't live.
