Resolver API reference
Every route of https://api.arcns.io, generated from the API's own OpenAPI 3.1 schema: parameters, responses, error bodies and request samples. The narrative contract — who pays, the status rules, x402 — is on the Resolver API page.
/resolve/:name
Resolve an ArcNS name (@handle, .arc, .circle) on Arc to its owner and explicit payment address, read authoritatively from ArcNS's own registry only. Call before sending funds to a name: every answer carries the namespace and the registry address it was read from, and `addr` is only ever an explicit resolver record (never the owner). 404 only after a successful chain read proved absence; 502 on any RPC failure.
/reverse/:address
Reverse-resolve an Arc address to its primary ArcNS name, forward-confirmed (the name must resolve back to the address, otherwise 404 stale). Call to display a name for a wallet in an explorer, feed or agent card. The answer names the namespace and registry.
/nft/:name
ERC-721 metadata for a registered ArcNS name: description, an SVG card as a data: URI, external_url and attributes (namespace, handle type, tokenized, rarity, bucket, length, registry). Call when rendering a name as a collectible or listing. 404 when the name is not registered.
/quote/:name
Registration quote for an ArcNS name: validity, availability, the live price from the namespace controller (native USDC wei, 1e18 = 1 USDC, plus a decimal string), the commit-reveal window and the controller/registry addresses to call. Optional `?owner=0x…` also checks that the prospective owner is not blocklisted by USDC on Arc (400 when it is). Call before `commit`/`register`.
